Along with the key trends of the season of course came the vast array of attention grabbing and often entirely impractical shoes, shown in my eyes most creatively by Chanel, Meadham Kirchhoff and Prada. Chanel saw the expansion of their 'underwater' theme transcended to their intricately detailed platforms, complete with a coral-esque heel. In comparison, Meadham Kirchhoff's choice of footwear was extravagant, loud and unashamedly fun. Featuring layers of textures including glitter, lurex and P.V.C, the wedges ticked all the 'tacky' boxes and yet somehow miraculously worked.
